The property has two buildings: For larger groups, the entire villa can accommodate up to 16 guests, and for smaller gatherings, the main house can be booked separately and accommodates 6-7 guests

We think this is the best small hotel in this price range in Sri Lanka. A beautiful garden directly on the beach. You can walk out from the garden and you have almost the beach for yourself. Noone is disturbing you....... The houses are in the middle of the garden with beautiful flowers and of course Palm trees. A nice big swimmingpool with salt water makes makes the garden super. You can have food at a cabana close to the sea, only 10 meters to the sea, but of course it is possible to eat at the verandas. The rooms are very big and spacious and they have all lofty ceilings especially the hall - 15 meters. The rooms are nice furnished with interesting pieces of art and antiques. The rooms are very clean and they have all AC:s. The service was outstanding ! I can really recommend Offrocks. We were the only guests why we felt as it was our own house !

We really enjoyed our stay at off rocks villa, it is a beautiful place, and you feel just like at home!
The bedrooms don't have the luxury of a 5 stars hotel, but it is so beautiful and well furnished, that you feel very comfortable. The only down side was the bathroom for us, because there is only 1 small cabin shower, but all the rest was amazing.
The bedroom is very spacious, and the balcony too. We had the room number 6, which i believe is the best room to stay in, because you have a big balcony and an amazing view on the sea.
There is other bedroom overlooking on the back garden, which i don't recommend, because there is no balcony, which makes the room a lot smaller. You should stay in the ocean view bedroom.
The staff are amazingly nice, and the chef is wonderful. When you arrive, you have to tell him what you wish to eat, he will go shopping for you, and cook for you. We had fresh fish, and it was really tasty and well cooked.
The place is divided into 2 villas. The main villa with 2 bedrooms upstairs (which shares the same balcony), it is good if you come with friends and you occupy the 2 rooms at the same time. But if you come alone or as a couple, it is nicer to stay in the second villa. There is 2 bedrooms upstairs, and 2 bedrooms downstairs. We had the bedroom with the sea view upstairs in the second villa, really nice.
The swimming pool was very nice, we enjoyed it, since the hotel was almost empty, we felt like it was our own house. The staff are very helpful, and very discrete, which makes you feel very comfortable, like at home.
We had breakfast in the morning in the garden, right next to the beach, it was amazing.
The beach is beautiful and not crowed (but too many waves to swim), you can enjoy a nice walk on the beach (there is direct access to the beach from the villa).
Plus the villa is located 10 minutes away from Unawatuna beach, with all the crowed places (bars, restaurants...) if you wish to go out and party a bit.
There is also Jungle beach at 20 minutes by touc touc, which is a beautiful natural beach, with no waves, nice to swim and enjoy the nature.
This was our favorite place during our stay in Sri Lanka. We tried different 5 stars hotels, but we preferred the villa, because we felt so comfortable, and relaxed.
We really highly recommend this place for a nice relaxing vacations.

Great comfortable house bang on the beach. We were a group of 6 friends who had a wonderful extended weekend in Unawatuna. The property in itself is very tastefully done, and well maintained. What really did make this place special was a staff who run it. Special thanks to Dhanushka, Samson and the other wonderful lady whose name I forget now, to have made our stay really special. One night they went out of their way to arrange a BBQ on the garden which was a great touch.
There was a slight misunderstanding on a particular issue which was entirely our fault for having not read an earlier email, but what left us impressed was the way it was handled. We are already planning a return the next year.
Also, forgot to add that the food the chef prepares is the best we have eaten in all of Sri Lanka. Samson's coconut sambol is on another level and we still dream about it sometimes :)

If your looking for a peaceful get away with a group of friends (14 pax) or family this is an idea location. With the beautiful Una beach in close proximity you have a lovely view to the sun set. The hospitality and care from the staff and the awesome food made by the in-house chef made it a relaxing get away.
The manager and staff was very accommodating - we had a bbq night and a hopper night (which were part of the full board menu).
Rooms were nice and spacious - but only some rooms have a view of the sea. No tv’s in the rooms so come prepared. Wifi was not the best - but then that’s Sri Lanka for you. Galle fort is about 30 mins drive away if you want a change in the scenery. And Angle beach and Wijeya beach is just a 5 min walk away.

I would like to start with the fact that in Sri Lanka we visited 5 villas for 2 weeks - villa On The Rocks was just perfect, super perfect! The decor is well-kept, all to a very high standard. Perfect location right on the ocean, on a lovely beach, lots of nice bars nearby. The most important thing for us was the service, a wonderful and professional team that created an excellent service. Chef Madu cooked at the highest level, he also gave us a cooking lesson! Thank you for the opportunity to stay with you and I can't wait to be back. Ewelina with Friends Poland
